As professional BMX athletes, we have learned that kindness on and off the ramp builds community and inspires others. We use our shows to demonstrate that even though we perform daring tricks, we always support each other and treat everyone with respect. By sharing stories about helping teammates and encouraging young riders, we show how small acts of kindness can have a big impact.
Schools and organizations can align our kindness message with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs, PTA or PTO initiatives, Title I funding, and grants focused on positive behavior. Grants that support anti-bullying, character education, and community-building can help bring our BMX demonstrations to campuses. We can also tie our program to STEM or STEAM curricula by explaining the science behind our tricks, appealing to a broad range of funding sources.
During our visits, we encourage students to practice empathy and compassion in their daily lives. We share examples of how we uplift one another when training gets tough and remind the audience that kindness costs nothing but means everything. With the support of parents, teachers, and community leaders, we aim to cultivate an environment where acts of kindness are celebrated and reinforced long after our BMX jumps are over.
